We empower communities by promoting equitable healthcare access and improving well-being
The AAHHI exists to create awareness, facilitate the prevention, and promote the treatment of cardiovascular diseases in blacks, especially those of sub-Saharan African descent and other ethnic minorities in Australia. It is known that the prevalence, severity and mortality from cardiovascular diseases are significantly higher in blacks including African Americans than non-Hispanic whites.
Vision
To create a future where cardiovascular health disparities among African Australians are eliminated, and every individual has access to equitable care, empowering them to lead heart-healthy lives
