We empower communities by promoting equitable healthcare access and improving well-being

The AAHHI exists to create awareness, facilitate the prevention, and promote the treatment of cardiovascular diseases in blacks, especially those of sub-Saharan African descent and other ethnic minorities in Australia. It is known that the prevalence, severity and mortality from cardiovascular diseases are significantly higher in blacks including African Americans than non-Hispanic whites.

Vision

To create a future where cardiovascular health disparities among African Australians are eliminated, and every individual has access to equitable care, empowering them to lead heart-healthy lives

Mission

The African Australian Heart Health Initiative (AAHHI) is dedicated to raising awareness and treating cardiovascular diseases in individuals of black ethnicity, particularly those of sub-Saharan African descent and other ethnic minorities residing in Australia.

Purpose/Objective

Our object is to provide public benevolent relief to persons in need of African background in Australia and overseas.

The issues we address

AAHHI understands the challenges faced by vulnerable community members in accessing healthcare facilities. To address this, they offer free transport services, ensuring that individuals can easily reach their medical appointments without any financial burden, thereby relieving them of potential stress.

AAHHI aims to extend its support beyond Australia by providing recyclable medical equipment to African countries. This initiative reduces waste and ensures that medical equipment reaches those in need, benefiting communities that may lack adequate resources
